Volcom has recently opened a new Shop in Nantes, in France. The esteemed lifestyle brand from California dedicated to surfing, skateboarding and snowboarding targets a young audience, capturing their attention with its innovative and free spirit, which comes through in the clothing collections as well as the brand's stores across the world. Inaugurated in September 2014, the Volcom Store in Nantes assigned the Cadypso architecture and design studio in Rives to create the theme of the store, in line with the brand's collection, mirroring its natural style, versatility, comfort and freedom.

The features of Ceramiche Caesar Made in Italy porcelain stoneware, in particular the One and the Gate collections, were chosen as the ideal materials to cover the two-storey building of the Volcom Shop.

The perfect synthesis of tradition and innovation, One is the porcelain stoneware series that evokes the warmth of terracotta and the feel of cement to blend them into a brand-new product, able to give spaces a sense of comfort, naturalness and elegance. Used on the first floor in the Ground colour and in the 75x75 size, One perfectly integrated with the Volcom Store philosophy, changing the age-old look of terracotta into expression of pure modern style. The 75x75 cm size also characterises the floors of the second storey covered using the Gateseries in the Broadway colour. Featuring minimal and alluring graphics, Gate gives planners total creative freedom offering a cement-look porcelain stoneware in a varied range of colours and sizes.

As a finishing touch, Caesar also contributed to the creation of the brand?s logo on the floor thanks to the hydro-jet technique with the brand?s colours applied to the brilliant porcelain stoneware of the Flair.7 series.
